I am a retired Unix System Administrator, living in France. I devote my time to helping friends and neighbors solve problems with their personal computers (usually Windows systems), going to local concerts, art exhibitions, cultural events, and enjoying excellent food and drink. I attend art classes through the village community center (Foyer Rural), and assist teaching the younger students. I play the clarinet, flute, and various recorders, and am currently intensely practicing the piano. My scolastic abilities were concentrated in music, mathematics, and the sciences. I joined this web site after having found the format helpful to expand my knowledge of grammar in English, which I hope will improve my ability in French.

update: After weeks of observation, I have found this website not really that useful. I was harrassed by one of the most respected members, which for me, says a lot about the rest of this community. This doesn't suprise me at all. People seem to thrive on victimization.
