I'm a bit fed up with meaningless prescriptions that aren't based on descriptive results. And I find the whole "you're either a prescriptivist or a descriptivist" debate quite absurd.

I'm not a native English speaker, but I think I master the language pretty well. I usually make fun of the concept of "correct" grammar by saying: "Not only can I speak correct English, I can also speak incorrect English" :)
