I have this question and in the comment i have this texts:

So i want to know what is the meaning of dampening here :

    In electronics the usual spelling is damping. It essentially means reducing oscillations. A dictionary would have shown you this if you'd had the right spelling. Commented Jun 11, 2020 at 14:31
