'A box of 3 / 19 / a dozen / some ... chocolates' aren't available. Or perhaps countness isn't a concept one should apply to pseudopartitives (an N₁ of N₂s, where N₂s is a plural-form noun: a can of worms; a box of matches ... contrast true partitives like a quarter of the [10 000] people; 3 of the [7] cats). | |
