A newer model of a phone or laptop may obsolesce older models the first day it's available (i.e. older models are now obsolescent), but doesn't immediately make them obsolete. It's still an applicable word, though, as there's not really a clear distinction between something that's becoming obsolete and something that is obsolete. | |
