Jun 20, 2011 at 17:22 comment added Ellie K @Rhodri and @Caleb I would refer to it as noun-verb agreement. Yes, that is sourced from the Wikipedia article for British English. Yet I was taught this in my grade school in Las Cruces, New Mexico, so I think it is widely accepted beyond the U.K.
