Bradshaw, would you kindly provide me some detailed information regarding the location and activities of our adversaries? Such data would be ever so useful to me in deciding my next maneuvers." I don't use the expression myself, but when it is used on me it is always in the sense of "I need info, and I need it quickly."
Oct 5, 2015 at 7:11 comment added Graham Nicol deadrat has analysed its use in the film very well. I would simply add that the way contemporary speakers are using the phrase is probably just as a fun/humorous way to say "give me courage". But yes, more context in how it is being used would help.
