Aug 18, 2015 at 8:56 comment added AndyT Agreed that the phrase "fund of time" is grammatically reasonable, although uncommon. Personally I would call it "poetic language", but I wouldn't object to its usage. ngrams compares it relatively favourably against other poetic options.
