May 11, 2015 at 9:28 | comment | added | iamRR | I remember that today I asked a question about sentence - "I noticed that the clock has stopped." Some one replied -For ex- you are in a train station and want to let the station official know that the clock has stopped. You could say, "I noticed that the clock has stopped." If, on the other hand, you were telling a story about a day (in the past) when the clock stopped in the station, you would say, "I noticed that the clock had stopped." How correct is this explanation ? | |
