Adaptation is the general term; humans are adapted to breathe oxygen in gaseous form, so we would be addicted to it if oxygen were socially condemned for any reason. Religions that banned it wouldn't last long, though. | |

If someone is actually addicted to exercise, i.e. experiences withdrawal symptoms when not allowed to exercise, that person is not well. If they have a habit of exercising and feel better when they do, that's not necessarily an addiction. | |
