Jun 11, 2014 at 14:17 comment added Jon Hanna @MattGutting in that domain there is, as I touched on, an impact on how you prefer to do your programming analysis, and whether you are likely to think about the state as a frozen matter or the state as a point along a series of transitions. Those though are both approaches where one is sometimes more convenient than the other, depending on the problem. I could see myself if thinking in terms of class invariants that must be held being more likely to use holds and if thinking in terms of transitions using holding. I'd need to see more code and a problem before I'd think either way though!
