Feb 26, 2014 at 10:56 comment added RemcoGerlich I remember it being used in the 80s in the Netherlands, but I also remember seeing lots of English and US troops on German autobahns, protests about nuclear weapons stationed in the Netherlands, seeing the wall and the DDR border, and the threat of Russian tanks coming towards us. There were also many proxy wars between the US and Russia, of course. I don't agree that there was a lack of war-like activity. But all that is of course off topic on this SE...
