ESL Instructor in China. Rapidly approaching my 30's and trying to waylay any more existential crises, thanks. Classical singer, writer, aspiring globe-trotter. I've tried on many hats in my life, I'm hoping the ESL instructor will stick for a while. Next few items on my bucket list:

  • Live in Scotland for a hot minute.
  • Live on a horse farm in Canada for a summer and finally learn how to ride.
  • Reach fluency in Spanish and teach in Chile or Argentina.

Gerund? Infinitive? Why, when we talk about jobs, do we say "I have a job taking people on tours" instead of "I have a job to take people on tours"?
