About

Mauli attended the Baptist Church Homeschool of Peoria. She graduated in 2013. The Baptist Church Homeschool and Greater-County-Homeschool Co-op are select schools for gifted and talented students demonstrating tested ability in academic research, writing, oral communication, and debate. The liberal arts and Christian theology (Protestant) are a required course of study, especially at the high school level. Mathematics, physics, and chemistry are taught at early ages. STEMs (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) are emphasized. The science and technology curriculum continues throughout all grade levels. The school (of about 45 students) is dedicated to bringing Judeo-Christian values to the larger unbelieving world.

Mauli is a sophomore at State U. Her father is a graduate of Baylor University and Vanderbilt University and works as an oil and gas consultant for the Mexican goverment. Mauli's mother, responsible for writing her all-level private school educational plan, is a graduate of Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, Texas, and Vanderbilt where she majored in English literature, math and science education. Mauli's sister, Mattingly Davidson (Matt), attends the Westphalia Military Academy in Highland Falls. Mauli now holds a career GPA of 4.08, which she will work hard to maintain the next two years. Her goal is to graduate State U. early and to attend professional school at Vanderbilt. Mauli's major is English and World literature and philosophy, but she enjoys architecture and engineering best. Mauli is a firm believer in cross-disciplinary studies, something she learned well from her father, a geologist, an engineer, and fluent speaker of languages.

As part of the Homeschool Co-op to Corporate Work Study program, Mauli is employed at Wellness and Life Clinic Medical in Peoria, in the Human Resources Department, where she enjoys work experience and time for study. Attending a high school with an advanced STEMs academic program provided Mauli with essential experience for living and working in the real world.

Mauli stays involved in extracurricular activities. She is a member of the Westphalia Honor Society and Mid-Western Honor Society, serves her city by doing community service at the main and branch libraries, and represents the Baptist Church Homeschool as a Student Ambassador, helping with school events, Festive-Wednesday tutorial days and participating in the school glee club. Mauli plays violin, cello, piano for the Baptist Church. Her sister plays harp and piano. Additionally Mauli is a team player for Peoria-Kinington-Mt. Plesent Track and Field Club. She continues to participate in various national marathons as an individual competitor. Mauli enjoys golf and tennis and since she was five placed on the Tri-County Homeschool traveling teams. You can be sure, Mauli made life-long friends, all of which today are at State U. Go Crusaders!
