I'm having trouble with verb tense/placement in an appositive/participle phrase. Which of these is correct: (1) Jane wrote a letter to the restaurant, complaining about the new menu. (2) Jane, complaining about the new menu, wrote a letter to the restaurant. (3) Complaining about the new menu, Jane wrote a letter to the restaurant. (4) Jane wrote a letter to the restaurant, in which she complained about the new menu. (5) Jane wrote a letter to the restaurant and complained about the new menu. Thanks!
