First I just want to apologize if I word my question incorrectly I have trouble with putting my thoughts into words. To ask my question though, is there a saying or idiom for a situation where someone reacts to something exactly how you knew they would because of past repeated behavior? Eg, I bring up something dishonest they’re doing and they say "stop" and won’t have a conversation on the situation. So, any time I bring anything up, their response would be "stop" and I’ve come to expect nothing other then that response. I sometimes say yeah what’s new because nothing changes but I am looking for a phrase that relates more to doing the same thing at the same time or something like “right on cue” almost.
