Can you correct me please. Which sentence is the correct one?

I'll be meeting with the girl I was telling you about.
I'll be meeting with the girl I told you about.

    In the title you ask for the differences (which is good- it implies that both are correct) but in the body you ask which one is correct- implying that only one can be.

They are both correct. "Was telling" can imply that it was told many times. "Told" implies that it was told once.

    I'm not sure that I agree with "Was telling" implies that it was told many times. It might be that that the 'girl' had just been discussed.
