I am sending an email with a PDF document to my client. I am not sure of a/the usage in the given statement:

You can find a detailed breakdown of all work done by our workers in the attachment. Every day worked with hours and description is listed there.

or:

You can find the detailed breakdown of all work done by our workers in the attachment. Every day worked with hours and description is listed there.

Which one is correct considering the fact the aforementioned "breakdown" pdf attachment was never mentioned before?

    In the second case "the detailed breakdown" is presumably referring to some effort that has previously been alluded to. In the first case this prior mention is not implied. – Hot Licks Feb 28 '20 at 1:53
