Is this sentence technically correct?

"We are transitioning to a new channel, allowing for a more diversified customer base and product offerings."

We rewrote it as "for more diversity in our customer base and product offerings."

But I was wondering if the first is acceptable, and if not, what is a more correct way to say it?

  • There is nothing wrong with either version. (Personally, I prefer the original.) – Jason Bassford Nov 8 at 20:53
