For example, "Straightaway, the car suddenly stopped." or "Just then, the car suddenly stopped." What is the right sentence and why?

  • Neither, if you use "suddenly" then both 'Straightaway' and 'Just then' are redundant – JeffUK Apr 23 '18 at 9:00
