In the following song Vicetone feat. Obama - Hope, there is a word used I have never heard of before (at the beginning, after about 30 seconds). I tried to find out what it means by typing shurk, sherk or sherc into google and dictionaries, but I couldn't find anything.

How is that word spelled and what does it mean? Looking at the context, I think it is something in the sense of chicken out. Is it usually part of a phrase/idiom? (like in ... from a fight, as said by Obama)

The word he used is shirk: to avoid work, duties, or responsibilities, especially if they are difficult or unpleasant [Cambridge].
