Example 1: I think, had you known it is a fake amethyst, you would have given the correct information.

Example 2: I think, had you known it was a fake amethyst, you would have given the correct information.

Is it acceptable to use Past Perfect together with Present Simple (because the stone is still fake at this moment) or should I use Simple Past?
