This question is impossible to answer without context. @vickyace pointed out proselytizer which is a person who attempts to convert someone. I believe by saying "tries to tell you what to think" you mean someone who has malicious intent. In that, manipulator fits the best.
'pedagogue' is a word for teacher but implies a one-way flow of information with little respect for the student.
I agree that the context is very important. I like manipulator and proselytizer. I would add to that zealot, someone who is overzealous/fanatical about an idea, ideal, cause, etc. Zealots tend to be proselytizers in the first degree. They believe everyone should think as they do.
