Could someone explain the meaning of the word "destigmatise" and how can I use it? Is it a colloquial word? Thank you in advance!

I don't know what language your computer speaks, but I see that with mine (it speaks US English) I can turn up definitions for "stigmatise" (with an "s") but not "destigmatise" . . . . but I find many definitions for "destigmatize" (with a "z"), which is how we spell it in the US, anyway. So you might try that. Anyway, it means to take away the "stigma" attached to something, usually by acknowledging the thing more openly (e.g., "destigmatizing" mental illness by talking about it). – vstrong Oct 16 '15 at 19:31
