• I will go to travel.

  • I will take a trip.

Are the two words - "travel" and "trip" - the same?

Are these words the same? No. First off, it would be "I will go traveling". And "traveling" has no implied beginning and end, whereas "trip" is presumed to start at one given time and place and end at another given time and place (though those may not be stated). – Hot Licks Jul 14 '15 at 1:33

Travel is a verb. (I will travel.)

Trip, when used in this context, is a noun. (I will take a trip.)
