I actually thought "vocal fry" was a linguistic insult, like "Valleyspeak" until I came across it in an educational article on singing and vocal ranges. The funny thing about this question and the OP's observation of a baby making this sound is that I remember as a child playing with this sound with my friends - to see who could sound creepier! lol! | |
