Sep 1, 2018 at 20:30 comment added Robbie Goodwin I think you'll find there's no such word, partly because however accurately you quoted the definitions above, "narcissist" today is very far from being limited to that narrow meaning. All over the WWW you will see nauseously repetitive instances where "narcissist" clearly means much more; specifically, one who thinks so much of himself that his life seems defined by abusing other people.

Jul 12, 2015 at 14:13 comment added Tushar Raj @Josh61: Basically, a valid word that means 'self-hater' would do. But if there is a word that means 'someone who hates themself, especially his/her appearance'; that'd be great.
Jul 12, 2015 at 14:10 comment added user66974 Ok, so that is what I mean by define. The definition given emphasises the physical aspect, which, apparently is not that relevant to your definition.
Jul 12, 2015 at 14:04 comment added Tushar Raj @Josh61: Almost. The appearence part is not terribly important, but not irrelevent either.
Jul 12, 2015 at 14:04 comment added user66974 So what you are looking for is a word that defines someone who hates especially his/her appearance, right ?
Jul 12, 2015 at 14:02 comment added Tushar Raj @Josh61: If by define you meant quote a definition; I've done that. Thanks.

Jul 12, 2015 at 13:58 comment added user66974 I think you should probably define narcisist to give a clearer indication about what you are looking for. One may hate himself for a number of different reasons.
