Jun 30, 2014 at 23:03 comment added John Lawler I don't see why it's been protected, either. It seems runofthemill and not particularly interesting, and certainly there's no urgency to comply.
Jun 30, 2014 at 20:30 comment added Drew FWIW: It's not real clear what the OP is after. He says he does not want anything that suggests teaching, which kinda leaves out saying that this is a course that covers such & such. But similar bzzzt-does-not-apply arguments could be made for pretty much every answer people have tried to offer here. This is what comes of not making clear the content of the message (what is really needed) instead of asking for a word to fill in the blank.
Jun 30, 2014 at 18:58 comment added Frank -1 Sorry, if youda kept it to Introduction to Calculus covers all methods of calculating integrals it woulda been a +1.
Jun 30, 2014 at 18:20 comment added Matt Gutting Understood; I didn't mean to give that impression. :-/
Jun 30, 2014 at 18:08 comment added John Lawler If he's decided what he wants to say, he should just say it. I'm not responsible for decoding and meeting unexpressed desires; I'm just here to answer interesting questions. Sorry, @MattGutting, I'm not competing with you; I hadn't noticed your answer. I'm not after the prize, honest.
Jun 30, 2014 at 18:00 comment added Matt Gutting Understood; but the OP wasn't questioning what sort of statement he ought to make here, but rather how to phrase this particular statement. In other words, he's decided what he wants to say, which appears to be different from what you or I might recommend that he say (perhaps he has a fuller understanding of the situation); his question is strictly about how to say it.
Jun 30, 2014 at 17:57 comment added John Lawler One can never guarantee the success of the course taker. Or, rather, if one does, one may be liable. Of course, we don't know the intended larger context of the sentence.
Jun 30, 2014 at 17:51 comment added Matt Gutting "... covers all methods of calculating integrals" doesn't sound like what the OP is asking for; it's focused on the course content, not the course taker. I don't understand how the rest answers the question.
