Usually, "-at-" occurs in Latin verbs of the first conjugation, as part of the past-participle or supine stem. E.g. "represent" comes from Latin "representare", supine "representatum". But "prevent" comes from a Latin word of the fourth conjugation, "praevenire", supine "praeventum". | |
