Question as a Retort? I admit this is from a movie, but after a bit of research, I was unable to determine the appropriateness of using a question for a retort - hence I asked on English SE. The movie quote was just an example. I could have just made up a fictional situation, where the gangster shakedown would never have played a part. |

Question as a Retort? I'm sorry if I'm being stupid and missing something really obvious here, but how does this support the claim for a retort as a question ? |

Question as a Retort? Pretty much. Marsellus Wallce's looks were never brought up until now. |

Is it acceptable to use digit and word form of numbers in the same sentence/paragraph? Thanks for spelling it out. I would have voted for you if I had the karma :| |
