I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from the Bern University of Applied Sciences in the summer of 2016 and will now continue my studies in order to attain a Master of Science in Engineering with the specialization in Information and Communication Technologies.

During my professional and educational career I came in contact with a number of programming languages. I have advanced knowledge of the newest versions of C#, VB.NET, Java, Kotlin, PHP, JavaScript and SQL as well as intermediate knowledge of Python, C and C++ and basic knowledge of NoSQL and semantic web-related languages such as Pig Latin, Turtle and SPARQL.

For several years I worked with .NET technologies such as Web and Windows Forms, ASP.NET MVC, Windows Presentation Foundation and the Universal Windows Platform as well as MS SQL Server technologies such as SQL Server Integration, Analysis and Reporting Services. Additionaly, I also have advanced knowledge of the Java Platform and know Swing, JavaFX, the Java Persistence and Transaction APIs, JavaServer Pages and Faces as well as Enterprise JavaBeans. I have had some experience with the Java Message Service as well as the Java APIs for XML and RESTful Web Services. I would also like to mention that I am a firm supporter of the Kotlin programming language and prefer it over plain old Java.

When it comes to lightweight web applications, I am experienced not just with PHP, but also with JavaScript on the server-side using Meteor and the client-side including popular frameworks such as Underscore, jQuery and the like. Although I am not much of a designer, I also know jQuery UI, Bootstrap as well as CSS extensions such as SASS/SCSS and LESS.

During my bachelor's studies I took courses on theoretical topics such as Algorithms and Data Structures, Computability and Complexity, up-to-date issues such as Advanced Web Technologies and Advanced Data Management, Semantic Web. I focused on Web and Business Applications and took additional courses on business and management topics such as business administration, marketing as well as innovation and strategic management. Practical lectures covered topics like Enterprise Application Integration, Business Intelligence, Enterprise Architecture as well as E-Business and E-Payment.
