So it'd be a proposal (not an offer) when a customer says "I need a new apartment for rent" and I tell him "Yeah, well I got this apartment for 500$ that might suit your needs, please take a look at that"?

It's not important that most computer users understand it, it's meant to be used in sourcecode. I'm effectively looking for a name of the interface (how I should name it) that provides this capability.

@Jim It's seen from the agency perspective, saying "John Doe has given us the hint that Jane Doe would buy this real estate". Then John Doe is the [***] of this agency, so they could sell their real estate to Jane.
