I'm currently working as C# developer for a small company in Germany. I enjoy programming and highly value improving my skills and my code.

Feel free to visit my blog, where I (besides programming) mainly write about the ancient board game Go.

@BraddSzonye Yes to your question. -- I also think that actions would probably be easiest, I'm just looking for alternatives, since the term is already used for something different in my case that I'm unable to change (not important in this question).

I think play captures it very well, doesn't it? - it is an option that is (or can be) performed

@BraddSzonye I edited the question, no sure if that clears it up really. -- I would like to avoid action because it leads to naming collisions in my particular case.

@Oldcat Good idea, but I was hoping for a very generic term, if it exists. Or, well, to follow through, we might call it a papp (possible action performable by player) :)

(There is an equivalent in German, but it uses different verbs instead of the same verb.)
