Even though I'm most active on askubuntu.com I am really a Debian user and a stick-in-the-mud proponent of old-school Unix philosphy. So most of my advice will be command line related.

I hang out in several Linux User Groups in and near Berlin, mostly LinuxWorks! and Nerd-Cafe. I also work as a webmaster for the Free Software Foundation Europe and I do Linux sysadmin work and occasional workshops for several places involved with the education of children.

I've started programming at a rather young age and soon became involved in Free Software.
