How to refer to an apartment on a specific floor? Actually, there's 200 pages worth of standards about how you write postal addresses. |

Is there a prefix that indicates that an event recurs four times a year? There's potentially confusion around biannual; also consider semiannual. |

What do you call the time period between notification of an event and the event? Outlook simply calls the notification a Reminder. Create a new event on your calendar -- the UI has Reminder: [15 minutes] |

What is a word for a man who has a lot of sexual relationships? @FumbleFingers: Usage of man-whore is most definitely a generational thing -- anecdotally, usage is common among my peers (20s), but very uncommon among older people. However, I'd disagree with calling a young, unattached guy who engages in a lot of flings as normal: the median number of lifetime sexual partners for an adult male is seven. A guy in university who runs through 7 partners in a semester would qualify as a man-whore; but research tells us those types are more of an exception (<29%), not 'normal.' |

What is a word for a man who has a lot of sexual relationships? @Kit: I agree. I think man-whore would be a more contemporary answer. |

What is a word for a man who has a lot of sexual relationships? @FumbleFingers: I would say that man-whore is actually fairly common slang, at least in the US. When I read the title of this question, man-whore was the first thing that popped into my mind, so +1! |

How to name a 15-minute period? From a software usability perspective, I'd say go with your fourth option. Specifying time in units of quarter-hour increments makes me think (and do math); simply rounding to 15, 30, 45, 60, ... is much more natural. |

What is the difference between 20$ and $20? @CesarGon: You're absolutely correct. But in the context of American English -- which is what we're talking about here -- the convention is definitely symbol-first. |

What is the difference between 20$ and $20? @ja72: [citation needed]. As an American, I've always seen and written the Euro's currency symbol before the amount -- €20. The Wikipedia article also uses the symbol-first style. In fact, "20€" looks strange and incorrect to me. |
