comment Is there a word for permanent solution?
A problem is resolved when not only is there a solution, but also when that solution is applied. This is not the same usage of resolve as, for example, used when discussing the UN or a determined person.

comment What is the English word for “street along a river bank”?
There's also bund, which is essentially the same as embankment. The most famous is "The Bund" in Shanghai.

comment [S]he has the ears of a …?
Ears like a fruit bat is a term I have heard applied to people (in this case musical judges) who have excellent hearing, and, specifically, are able to pick out small features or mistakes in music.

comment Should I Use a Comma before the Second “and”
While you should use a comma, as @mikhailcazi says, you could also say something like "...enter your email and password, then click ...", which further cements the order of the required actions.

comment Word for supplementary text detailing notation, assumptions and conditions
Thanks for the comments! I think givens is probably the best suggestion so far, as both key and legend imply a list of one-to-one mappings, probably in a separate box or area to the main text. Might I ask what caused this question to be downvoted, so that I could improve in future?
