comment The differency between “run” and “wrong” from pronunciation
I just pronounce the same for the two words. I never say the word "run" precisely.

comment Contact back to somebody?
So I guess I should have started with "Sorry for contacting you again so late. But..." Is this perfect?

How about "Sorry for getting back to you late"? Because we didn't use the email to discuss the design before, so i don't think "replying to him" is proper. Any comments?

And can I say she is forty-three years old now from "she was still at forty-three a comely and faithful companion"?

I don't get "If she had long lost the blue-eyed". Does it mean she has lost the charm or not?

I grab this sentence from a novel "The Apple Tree" authored by John Galsworthy, British.

So there is a grammatical description of "could have done". What's the difference with "could do".
