I don't think there is an agreed upon term for them where I'm at: A local ski resort sells "ten-time" passes. Local transit sells a "book of 10." And the rock climbing gym sells "10 visit" passes.

It's true, you'll find that pity usually carries disdain with it these days. Maybe we need a word that means sincere pity with all this shifting of meanings.
