comment What exactly does “President Obama will ‘fold faster than a lawn chair’” mean?
I have a friend who uses a variation on that phrase: "He'll fold faster than Superman on laundry day."

comment What does “something 101” mean?
There are certainly 0-level courses. They don't usually count for much. I took Music 060 every semester for four years. It was the one-credit string orchestra for non-music-majors.

comment Why is there a distinction between “its” and “it's”?
You can't really say that nobody notices. I notice every time. And I certainly care. I rarely care enough to fix it by itself, but if I'm editing a question or answer for other purposes, I'll fix spelling and punctuation, too (assuming I'm allowed to edit at all).

comment UK emphasis on the second syllable vs US emphasis on the first
I could certainly believe stressing the second syllable of Yahoo. The company's insistence on including the exclamation point everywhere the name appears makes it clear that the company's name is the excited interjection, not the Gulliver's Travels character. The exclamation stresses the second syllable. The endings of the company's TV commercials reinforced that point.
