Come unto me, all ye who are weary of heavy-laden clients and I will give you REST.

Agile is the substance of features planned for, the avoidance of milestones unseen.

comment Is there a word for numbers and letters, but not punctuation, etc?
Alphanumeric can be used as a noun, but mostly used by itself with the words character/field/string implied. Whereas, 'alphanumerics' is a collective term.

Your perspective is too restricted to your own field of expertise.

comment Have American English speakers always used the term “last name” instead of surname?
For a patient whose name is Zhou Enlai, who, say, happens to be tourist from China hospitalized in, say, the Univ of MA hospital and being admitted by his sister Zhou Enbai - try writing Enlai and Enbai as the lastnames, the hospital would either reject your form or you would screw up their systems. Therefore, for practical reasons in North America, lastname and surname are synonymous regardless of any academic opinions.

comment Is “great” used by native speakers to describe calamities any more?
In the presence of words such as awesome, catastrophic, incredible, unbelievable, viral, etc, the use of "Great" now usually means "It's a pleasant surprise."

comment “To sit in a Parliament” or “To sit on a Parliament”?
I think it's fine that someone sat on the Parliament, just as Rand Paul sat on the US Senate for 13 hours the other day. By fine, I meant grammatically, rather than politically.

Retrospective subjunctivities: He says he went to Israel. If he did go to Israel, he would blah .. blah. He said he had been to Israel. If he had, he would ... blah blah.

comment What does “Sleep through the Second Coming” mean?
+Lymington, someone has to understand the theology of dispensationalism, millenialism and tribulation in order to see that 2nd Coming theology does indeed propose that the 2nd Coming would awaken people or not. Does it propose the rapture occuring after the trib or before the trib. Before the supposed mil or after mil or mid-mil.

Would the items in my suitcase get traumatised by agoraphobia when I practice "agornomics" on them to pack as much stuffs as possible in as small a luggage bag that the airline would then permit me to store in overhead bins rather than having me check the bag in as baggage? LOL - didn't vote you down but your answer is hilarious.
