What is the word to describe “the gaining of full control over an ability or power you already have”? Hmmm... "I have encompassed my full potential..." I kind'a like that. |

What is the word to describe “the gaining of full control over an ability or power you already have”? @LordScree Very true. E.g. We might have almost complete knowledge of how gravity works, but we cannot control it. |

What is the word to describe “the gaining of full control over an ability or power you already have”? Although this answer is accurate, I still like "harnessed" better for some reason. "Harnessed" is more in terms of being able to grasp or contain something. "I have learnt how to 'contain' my power in order to use it as I please," or "I have discovered how to grasp my powers in order use them as I please." |

What is the word to describe “the gaining of full control over an ability or power you already have”? @jadarnel27 I actually had no idea the word "grok" existed until asking this question. hehe. It's valid, but I'd like a general term so anyone can understand it. So far, I think "harnessed" is the best word. |

What's the word for when two people like each other but each doesn't know whether the other likes back? @Hans-PeterE.Kristiansen The word I'm looking for describes love in such a fashion where two people love each other, but frustrations build because neither has acknowledged loving the other. |

What's the word for when two people like each other but each doesn't know whether the other likes back? Thanks for that nice definition, John. I agree with @J.R. though about unconditional love. Also, the word I'm looking for encompasses more than just love. The word I'm looking for describes love in such a fashion where two people love each other, but frustrations build because neither has acknowledged loving the other. |

What's the word for when two people like each other but each doesn't know whether the other likes back? J.R. and @FumbleFingers I agree that "Unbeknownst, unbeknown, or unacknowledged love" are very close to the word I'm looking for. Many years back I encountered a single word that means exactly what I'm looking for and along the lines of what you guys suggested except it also includes the frustration that builds from such unacknowledged love. |
