Computer Science student.
My native language is C++, but I speak fluent Python.
Open Source, Google and Python fan.
Java is just C++ with a decent library.
CPU time is much cheaper than developer time - Code in Python!
Do you love Python?
- Yes!
- Me too!
- No
- So you don't like beautiful, readable, simple stuff, right?
- What's Python?
- What the heck? Please stop what you're doing right now and start learning.

Using “actually” to talk about the present very useful information @Shoe, I didn't know about those "false friends", we (the spanish speakers) make those kind of mistakes frequently. |

Using “actually” to talk about the present @FumbleFingers: for spanish native speakers this mistake is very frequent, this is because in spanish we say "actualmente" to say "currently" or "at the moment", so a lot of people think "actually" is the perfect translation. So, maybe the question is "too localised" for a native english speaker, but it isn't for the rest of world (for whom this website is for) |

Using “actually” to talk about the present My question is if "actually" can also be used to talk about what is happening now. |

Using “actually” to talk about the present So if you say that "actually" can be used for presentense, does Actually, I am having little head ache. can be replace for At the moment / Currently, I am having little head ache. keeping the same meaning? (that's the main point of my question) |

Using “actually” to talk about the present When you say Actually, I'm a nurse, that doesn't mean At the moment, I'm a nurse. My question was if "actually" can be used as "currently" or "at the moment" without being a contradiction. |
