Alternatives to “computationally expensive”? I tend to use the word 'workload' since there were many occasions where non-technical person could not immediately realize, physically, what "resources" refers to. |

After losing weight, how do I say I can wear my belt tighter? I have absolutely no idea why the word "notch" didn't come to mind at the time. Thanks. |

Is there a term for preloading video? @FumbleFingers I think caching is too general and for online video, its more common to use 'buffering'. Caching as you suggest is related to OS, hardware, offline application, system storage etc etc. It is too wide for the OP's specific situation IMHO. Just my 2c, peace. |

Would the word “dehumidifier” be another word for “heater”? @LarryMorries I feel that its getting off topic but go to Wikipedia and look up "Relative Humidity" and there is a paragraph : For example, if the air temperature is 24 °C (75 °F) and the relative humidity is zero percent, then the air temperature feels like 21 °C (69 °F). If the relative humidity is 100 percent at the same air temperature, then it feels like 27 °C (80 °F). [End of quote] If water evaporates quicker when we sweat we are cooled quicker, dry air also gives a cooling sensation. |

Would the word “dehumidifier” be another word for “heater”? Reduced humidity would make you feel cooler, summer or winter. |
