I've been using LaTeX since 1991, mainly to typeset my working papers (I'm an physicist). My book about LaTeX in Russian was reprinted 5 times. My FontC package was quite popular prior to Lua- and XeTeX era since it loads Cyrillic TT fonts for good old puristic LaTeX. I am also supporting Russian Language Definition File for babel bundle.
