comment What exactly does “sweep me off my feet” mean? (And why?)
then it will be weird if a man says "you are sweeping me off my feet" to a woman, especially when it is obvious that the woman has no way to have enough strength to pick up a man like that... also, I think the image of a woman doing this to a man isn't so good looking either

if the image of dancing is involved, then "you are sweeping off my feet" sounds quite like "you are stepping on my feet"... but I guess, to be able to dance with somebody that is stepping on our feet, maybe related to love as well

comment What is the origin of “sucker” and “it sucks”?
but... a girl can say "you suck" with a smile and all people feel happy... but if the third word is implied, I think people's reaction will be different
