Noun for “person with intermediate skill” @FumbleFingers Don't tell that to American union workers. Journeyman in the electricians/tile layers/carpenters unions (in my local at least) is a title they work towards. Although on a practical level most of those guys stop there, which could be where the "backhandedness" of the compliment comes from? I have personally never heard it used as anything other than neutral. |
