Possible Duplicate:
Which is correct, “you and I” or “you and me”?
“My friends and I” vs. “My friends and me” vs. “Me and my friends”

I checked this expression on the web, and found that me and John is the correct form of the original expression. But can anyone explain to me the rules that govern these kinds of expressions.
