I have been trying to translate the following:

Some saw just the face, others just the body, still others heard the speech run through a filter that made the words unintelligible but left the sound intact, and the rest heard or read the words.

What does the "still" mean in this? I know this word like "are you still there?" or "it is still an issue".

Also, the whole sentence does not make much sense to me. Its dealing with verbal and non verbal signs of deception.

This is general reference. Check out a good dictionary. I can say still is an adverb meaning yet or more here. – Kris Oct 31 '12 at 10:52

This question is too basic; it can be definitively and permanently answered by a single link to a standard internet reference source designed specifically to find that type of information. See the FAQ for guidance on how to improve it.
