I couldn't find a definition of this on any reliable resource nor in the dictionary. I think we all might know what 'relational' and 'value' mean but I'm looking for a definition of the term 'relational value' if there is one.

Relational value is the value attached to a relationship, often in terms of business relationships. 'Relational value: it is referred to how customers assess the benefits and effectiveness of the working relationships with one supplier relative to alternative suppliers (Ulaga, 2003; Wilson et al., 1995). Relational value is related to image (Lapierre, 2000), conflict (Rusbult, et al., 1988, Lapierre, 2000), solidarity (Heide and John, 1992; Macneil, 1980, Kaufmann and Stern, 1988, Lapierre, 2000), trust (Schurr and Ozanne, 1985, Lapierre, 2000) and communication (Cunningham and Turnbull 1982; Håkansson 1982; Anderson and Weitz 1989; Dwyer, Schurr and Oh 1987).' http://www.sosyalarastirmalar.com/cilt3/sayi10pdf/khan_nasreen.pdf Or try these: http://impgroup.org/uploads/papers/6873.pdf http://www.bath.ac.uk/management/research/pdf/2005-02.pdf http://vonemmel.com/2010/08/relational-value-what-impact-do-we-want-to-make-together/ |
