I have seen this on the t-shirt of someone, I am not getting what does it mean by:

I need a tan love

or

I need a tan

I need a tan means what it means (look up tan, see meaning 5). I need a tan love doesn't make sense unless you put a comma before love, in which case it's similar to I need a tan, dear – Armen Ծիրունյան Apr 6 '12 at 13:31

Maybe they are seeking a bronzed lover. – cornbread ninja 麵包忍者 Apr 6 '12 at 14:14
Where did you see this t-shirt? Was there also a picture? (what you've said is not enough to go on). – Mitch Apr 6 '12 at 14:23
Imprints on T-shirts are often plays on words, so this might have been a joke of some sort. Was there an accompanying picture, or something on the back that might give a clue? – Jay Apr 6 '12 at 15:14
thanks for the response..yes, there was also a picture of heart. – nibha Apr 9 '12 at 5:44
